Nambucca

This was a photograph was taken a few years ago on holiday at Nambucca Heads. It was a view I felt I could stare at for hours .. I was so mesmerized by the beautiful blue waters and the swirling shifting sands I had to paint it. I was awarded the Dobell Art Award Overall winner 2026 for this painting. Welcome..I have been painting on and off since 1993 but due to family and work commitments painting was "when I had the time." Finally in 2000 I began on educating myself in colour and design and also managed an advanced diploma in visual art. I enjoy the challenge of representational work using oils but equally like to let loose with abstraction, so you will see within my work both categories. I continually endeavour to develop my art painting skills along with creative abstractions. I am a homebody so many of my still life paintings will include items from my home along with flowers and fruit from my garden. My landscapes include inspiration and photography from holidays and lake Macquarie and the beaches of Newcastle. The abstract paintings can come from any type of inspiration that passes my way..... I absolutelylove painting and hope that you will enjoy my work as well.
