Pink lillies and Plums

Flowers are probably my favourite subject and I will continue to paint them because they are pops of beautiful shapes, forms and colour that lift any room and lift our spirits. This particular painting was inspired by a country kitchen. The muted tones would look fantastic in a bedroom, kitchen and loungeroom or anywhere you would like to place it.

Welcome..I have been painting on and off since 1993 but due to family and work commitments painting was "when I had the time." Finally in 2000 I began on educating myself in colour and design and also managed an advanced diploma in visual art. I enjoy the challenge of representational work using oils but equally like to let loose with abstraction, so you will see within my work both categories. I continually endeavour to develop my art painting skills along with creative abstractions. I am a homebody so many of my still life paintings will include items from my home along with flowers and fruit from my garden. My landscapes include inspiration and photography from holidays and lake Macquarie and the beaches of Newcastle. The abstract paintings can come from any type of inspiration that passes my way..... I absolutelylove painting and hope that you will enjoy my work as well.
