A limited edition print of an original painting 'Flannel Flowers, Proteas and Hydrangeas’ by Sydney-based artist, Vickie Liu. The botanical artwork was inspired by dark and rich colours of autumn and Australian native flora.
“I’ve always found the saying ‘blue and green should never be seen’ rather odd as these are the colours we see the most of when we step out into nature; and in my mind are very harmonious together. I wanted to explore a sense of immersion in nature using harmonious greens and blues in this painting. I loved exploring the different textures as well – the lush, overflowing abundance of hydrangeas punctuated by the harsh shapes of Australian native flowers.”
