This botanical still life artwork was inspired by orange banksias from a friend's garden. It was painted during Sydney's lockdown as part of a 30 day painting challenge in September 2021.
"These Australian native flowers were gifted by a friend many weeks ago - the bloom's colours are only just starting to fade and the leaves are starting to curl. I loved the texture of these curly leaves and tried to capture the essence of them with each brushstroke."
