Mixed Media on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

I've fallen in love with the soft blue/deep crimson colour combination to bring out the contrast of stark midday heat with the deep shadows and cool rocks you find in nooks like this in the Australian bush. Softened by the dusty grey-greens of Australia, this turned out to be a thrilling mix that I hope captured the light and life of a little sunny creek burbling its way through the rocks, underneath a sunlit canopy. This is taken from a bush creek a short drive into the Brindabella Mountains, from my home in Canberra. Sells unframed, but the paint wraps around the sides (thin edge canvas) so it has a finished look if hung as-is. The Dulux greens are Mountain Fern (lighter yellow-based) and Sea Radish (darker, grey-green).
