Here in the middle-storey is a perfect balance of warm and cool, earth and air: that feeling of reaching for the sky knowing your feet are safely grounded, surrounded by the supports of the trees (or loved ones).

There's something quiet and warm about the muted tones of the Australian bush, which is so dear to my heart. This piece is a study in the subtle tonal variations in the grey-blues and eucalypt greens, from midnight blue and deepest olive to softest teal and greys. The piece is richly layered with delicate, organic mark making using a variety of tools and subtle nuances of colour to build the layers of forest understorey.

This piece is not framed. Edges are finished with neat colour for hanging unframed.
