Oil on linen

Signed on the front.

A tapestry of texture and tone, this misty pocket of rainforest felt at once light and cool, yet dense and warm. Standing here looking in, I felt it gently engulf me into its safety and calm.

I was drawn by the analogous palette of greens, enlivened by the dense textures, from the pale teal lichen to deep forest green and out again to vibrant lime. Warm tones of crimson and ochre bring balance and grounding.

In line with my sustainability policy, I prefer to provide artworks on unstretched linen which is one of the more sustainable fabrics and removes the need for plastic bubblewrap. It will arrive in a mailing tube - much easier for handling!

As this piece comes as unstretched linen it will require framing to hang. It's done on fine weave Italian linen with triple prime, and ample fabric margin for any framing choice.
