You know that feeling you get when you see a pocket of forest that’s alive with sunlight and the gentle movement of a breeze or a moth or bird - and you just know that it would nurture you to sit among it for a little while and breathe it in…? I create artworks that feel like that. I call them ‘cosy wild places’ because to me they feel like coming home. They entice you to peer closely, like when someone speaks softly you lean in to listen. They acknowledge the little, simple things that make a home familiar and loved - the forest floor is the ancestral home for we Homo sapiens, after all.
