While sketching out this piece on a board propped against a nearby tree, a large brush tailed possum descended from the upper branches and sat grooming itself in the fork of this tree, mostly hidden by the dense foliage. I had the privelage of its company for around a half hour, and I was taken by how beautifully it sat within its surrounds, blending to the point of invisibility, much like its tree home sat within the bush.
As a nature lover I have a sustainability policy. Buying art on unstretched linen removes the need for plastic bubblewrap, as your painting arrives rolled in an easy-to-handle mailing tube. Any framer can prepare it for framing, and the cost is reduced to accommodate this extra step at the framers.
