Since the early 1800s the entire laneway from Harrington to Cumberland Street was known as Cribbs Lane. In 1896 the Sydney City Council received petitions to change that name to Cumberland Place. This drawing is in pen and ink on white cartridge paper. The drawing is under glass
I was born in Devon England and immigrated to Australia with my husband and two daughters. I am a self- taught artist, painting mainly landscapes and buildings. I have had several exhibitions at various galleries in the St George and Sutherland area and I have also won first prize at the Oyster Bay Festival of Arts plus other secondary prizes. I started in oil colours but am now using watercolours also. I hope you like my paintings as much as I enjoy painting them.
