Artwork Description

Impressionistic oil painting of a cityscape based on Sydney. The mist would roll across the Harbour early in the morning and just hazy outlines of buildings could be seen. The bridge disappeared entirely.
This scene is from my 26th floor office some years ago and reimagined in subtle colours.

This is such a peaceful ethereal scene and the size makes it perfect for above a couch or in a bedroom.

Wendy Sherwell has always loved art and started painting seriously about 20 years ago and has made a concerted effort to hone her skills. She loves painting bright colourful abstract art and her main inspiration came originally from the Blue Rider Group and the fauvism painters. Wendy is now branching out into abstracted landscape paintings and experimenting with large palette knives to create emotive individual original paintings. She is a very eclectic artist and is inspired by many things in the natural world. From time to time you will see some surrealistic art and there is a wide variety of styles in her portfolio. Experimentation with artistic ideas is what keeps her art alive and energetic!
