Sydney Harbour in the Rain

I used to work at Circular Quay near Sydney Harbour and some days when it was bright and rainy at the same time, there would be a brilliance to the streets and buildings, which I hope to have captured in this abstract impression of the scene. The limited palette of soft greys, pinks, whites and blues tries to give one the feeling of the weather. The bridge is just showing in top left hand corner. If you can, blow it up for a batter idea of its composition.

Wendy Sherwell has always loved art and started painting seriously about 20 years ago and has made a concerted effort to hone her skills. She loves painting bright colourful abstract art and her main inspiration came originally from the Blue Rider Group and the fauvism painters.
