Volcanic Islands

After seeing all the volcanic activity in Hawaii I was inspired to paint these new islands of volcanic rock and bright orange lava still running into the sea. There is a lovely peachy orange sky which makes for a great contrast with the dark rocks.

The still blue waters reflect the sky with a softer orange colour making for some beautiful colour blends.

Wendy Sherwell has always loved art and started painting seriously about 20 years ago and has made a concerted effort to hone her skills.
