Day dream

"Day dream" is a fusion of photography and acrylic painting.

I used one of my fashion portfolio photographs and added acrylic paint directly onto the print, creating a multi-dimensional effect that blurs the lines between photography and painting.

The portrait features myself, with intricate details added in the form of raindrops and florals. The raindrops create a sense of movement and depth, as if the subject is caught in a moment of contemplation or reflection. The florals add a touch of delicacy and femininity, contrasting with the bold and dramatic acrylic paint strokes.

This work is printed on an age-resistant and matte premium paper.

There will be an edition of 8 + 2AP
Each piece is slightly different as the acrylic will only be added once the photography is printed.

I am a Sydney-based artist originally from Sabah, Borneo. My creative journey has been shaped by a lifelong curiosity for beauty, culture, and the stories found in everyday moments. Before dedicating myself to painting, I spent many years travelling internationally as a fashion model, an experience that refined my sensitivity to colour, composition, light, and form.
Working primarily with oils and acrylics, I create semi-abstract works that explore memory, nature, and emotion. Rather than capturing subjects literally, I seek to express their atmosphere.
