Nostalgia

'Nostalgia' is a beautiful recreation of my fondest memories from the past. The painting delivers the essence of a cherished memory from my childhood, evoking a sense of warmth and comfort that is both familiar and inviting.

My inspiration for this piece comes from my time spent at my grandmother's house, sipping hot chicken soup and listening to stories while gazing at the beautiful wallpaper. I've chosen a round canvas to capture the circular and continuous nature of memory, and to convey a sense of longing and hope for the past.

I am a Sydney-based artist originally from Sabah, Borneo. My creative journey has been shaped by a lifelong curiosity for beauty, culture, and the stories found in everyday moments. Before dedicating myself to painting, I spent many years travelling internationally as a fashion model, an experience that refined my sensitivity to colour, composition, light, and form.
Working primarily with oils and acrylics, I create semi-abstract works that explore memory, nature, and emotion. Rather than capturing subjects literally, I seek to express their atmosphere.
