Silent Snowfall in the Woods

"Silent snowfall in the woods" is a poignant reflection on the my trip to Japan. The winding roads and rolling hills of Hakone left a deep impression on me, inspiring me to capture the peace and tranquility of the moment in.

In the painting I wanted to deliver the reverence for nature on full display. The trees and leaves are rendered in layers of colours, and the overall effect is one of the serenity.

This piece has been elegantly set in a white washed wood frame, with wire-back ready for hanging.

I am a Sydney-based artist originally from Sabah, Borneo. My creative journey has been shaped by a lifelong curiosity for beauty, culture, and the stories found in everyday moments. Before dedicating myself to painting, I spent many years travelling internationally as a fashion model, an experience that refined my sensitivity to colour, composition, light, and form.
Working primarily with oils and acrylics, I create semi-abstract works that explore memory, nature, and emotion. Rather than capturing subjects literally, I seek to express their atmosphere.
