AND THE RAINS CAME... is a revisited work that depicts the meandering flow of waters after a deluge in the Australian outback. It has plenty of texture to suggest the etching effect of years of flooding. The markings lend themselves to a timeless and yet a modern feel. It has 3 coats of satin varnish, is signed on the back and comes with a signed & dated Certificate of Authenticity.
Joanna Landman is mainly known for her abstract works which tend to lean towards biomorphic forms reminiscent of nature. Self-described as an organic/abstract painter and digital photographer, her works often offer a sense of movement or calmness and yet at other times her paintings depict a certain philosophical symbolism with the use of bold shape and form. In 2016 Joanna established INDIGO Studio/Gallery Melbourne, Australia.
