This is an Australian landscape with a mixture of impressionism and surrealism. This is a scene I see regularly on route from Melbourne to Geelong to visit family. Each time I whiz past this scene I can’t help but be transfixed to this site no matter what time of day or time of the year. My favourite time is when I see the canola flowers out. Maybe it’s their colour that brings me joy. I find myself using yellow quite a lot - it symbolises happiness, warmth and sunshine and apparently can boost your memory and encourages communication. I hope you get a sense of happiness when you look at this
The name 'You Yang' comes from the Aboriginal words 'Wurdi Youang' or 'Ude Youang' meaning big mountain in the middle of a plain.
