Expressive and intuitive brushstrokes were used to create my painting Yarra Valley Day Trip. I have embarked on a series of artworks depicting scenes from my childhood, observed from the car window as we took a drive to new locations.

I can almost smell the fruit cake mum baked for me and my brother, to be enjoyed with a thermos of hot tea on a woolly tartan blanket upon arrival at our destination.

This painting was created with moody dramatic darks, soft pale greens, little pops of warm pink, and lovely variations of colour and tone in between. You might notice a pond flanked by trees, and another pond off in the distance.

I have stretched and framed this artwork for you. If you would prefer to purchase without the external frame, just let me know - the price will reduce by $280.

External framing looks amazing (and would be my preference), however this is not absolutely necessary, as the edges “wrap around” so you can see the art emerge as you approach from any direction.

I have included photos of Yarra Valley Day Trip installed into a room with furniture. In situ photos were created using various apps and may not be perfectly to scale but should give you an idea of how your artwork might look.

If you are based in Victoria, you may like to see my paintings in person before making your purchase - I am located near the beautiful Trawool Estate (approx 90 minutes north of Melbourne) and often arrange to meet collectors there to show off my art. I have been a full time career artist for 3 years, and have enjoyed seeing almost 300 paintings find their home in that time. My portfolio is eclectic and I paint with numerous styles and colour palettes, but I always harness my love for the Aussie landscape and use that connection when I paint. I often paint outdoors on location and allow the weather or time of day to dictate the mood or temperature of my art. In many of my artworks you see here, a photo of me and my “work in progress” will hopefully give you a little insight into my process.
