Cobalt Rain is an abstract landscape using a calm, elegant palette of blues, greys, turquoise, off-white, deep midnight blue, charcoal and gold. This is part of the Banksia series and has several small banksia pods scattered through the wild grass.
This artwork has so many interesting areas of subtle texture and washes of colour.
The painting flows over the deep edge canvas and it is signed on the front.
A clear varnish protects the gold leaf - and when the gold leaf is lit up by light, it glows beautifully.
