Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

"The Breakaways, Coober Pedy, South Australia" was inspired by our trip through the Australian Outback in 2009 and the fascination I had with the awesome range of colours of the Outback. But, as was the case, many a time we had to fly past any vistas due to time pressure and this was one of them. So, when I first came across this image, I thought this is exactly what I was looking for. Although I didn't get to see the Breakaways myself, the image shows all the vibrant colours of the Australian Outback.

Coastal Erosion is an abstract painting featuring vibrant blues, turquoise and gold which when mixed, created a dynamic fluid effect. It has an energetic vibrant mood due to its bright colour palette and dynamic patterns.Lilies is a vibrant painting of pink lilies against a colourful abstract background of blues and greens with some touches of yellows and pink, creating a dreamy atmosphere. Texture was created using visible brushstrokes adding movement to the composition. I love how the painting has an overall feel of being lively and colourful.a conceptual piece of abstract design with patterns and textures of organic cells in our universe in vibrant coloursa display of brightly coloured flowers in pinks, purples and reds interspersed with light greens and dripping white falling from the dark toned sky of greys, browns and mauve creating a lovely fantasy winter garden
