"But mum...." is my daughter's voice in this pretty little figurative landscape. She was such a beach bum as a little girl, and now she's older the coast is still her favourite place to be. Like mine! This scene reminded me of many a moment leaving the beach at end of day in Summer holidays. She was always the straggler, wandering behind, voicing her discontent at having to make the walk back to our cabin, or holiday home, or tent. "But mum, I don't want to go", "but mum, are we coming back tomorrow", "but mum, I want to go back in the water", "but mum, I can't walk that far." Any mums relate?

Created with palette knives on beautiful fine linen, this sweet and pretty figurative landscape I'm sure will resonate with many. It is framed in a solid oak timber frame, is satin varnished, and comes with a COA.
