"Christian Minde - Sussex Inlet" by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting and requires framing to hang.

I was inspired by the intriguing historic cottages just across the river at the end of the main street in Sussex Inlet. This quaint set of cottages is now a holiday resort but in the 1890s it was built as a guest house by the danish Elmoos family. It was named the "Christian Minde" in loving memory of their son who died at a young age, whilst the guest house was being built. 

Mission: I strive to express emotion in my artwork and hope it resonates with you too. I hope that it evokes a positive feeling of joyful peace and that it brightens up a special spot in your home. My style is a combination of looseness and detail, allowing watercolour to do its magic and then adding some detail bringing the subject to life.
