I painted Strange Magic intuitively without too much thought process. I didn’t have any preconceived plans on the final composition or even a colour palette in mind. The colours were quite muted in the beginning but I wanted more interest and balance so I added black in small amounts and hints of a tealy blue to add definition.

It could be seen as reflections in a pond or the ocean with fish and seaweed…..I even think this one has a mystical, spiritual feel.
This painting can be very versatile and would look fabulous in a neutral environment that needs an injection of colour and interest.
