"Mallee Saltbush" by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting and requires framing to hang.

Driving through the Mallee I was instantly inspired by nature's own colour palette which was so uniquely harmonised! I love the way the silver-green-grey of the Mallee Saltbush contrasts with the red loamy soils of the Mallee. Saltbush thrives in hard to grow places and can be found in all Australian states growing in arid desert-like areas. Because of its nutritional content it is often referred to as "Cattle Spinach".

My style is a combination of looseness and detail, allowing watercolour to do its magic and then adding some detail bringing the subject to life.
