Chinamans Bridge, Nagambie
Chinamans Bridge, located in Nagambie, Victoria, is a significant historical bridge over the Goulburn River. Built in 1891, it was initially known as Kerris Bridge and was designed to accommodate river traffic with a lift span. The bridge is notable for its use of hand-hewn timber in construction and its role in the development of transport systems in Victoria. It is listed in the Victorian Heritage Register and holds architectural and historical importance to the State of Victoria. The bridge's name reflects its historical significance and its association with the growth of the township of Nagambie and the sawmilling industry during the 1890s.
