This painting is painted using many thin layers of oil on canvas to achieve vibrancy in colour. It is a medium-sized painting on high-quality handmade canvas stretcher frames. These stretcher frames are warp-resistant. A canvas has been hand-stretched over the frame and the sides of this painting are black. The painting is made using small brushstrokes and the texture of the paint and brush marks are visible on the surface of the canvas.

Another fun , vibrant piece with hints of bold and subtle hues. A landscape filled with a tree in orange and a dam for sheep to gather. I grew up with sheep and farming and only introduced this wonderful subject matter to my practice in recent years. I had such a fabulous response to my first pieces that I have continued to create works with my quirky, abstract sheep as the prominent subject matter. I am always out photographing and sketching livestock and the landscape, with hundreds of preliminary A4 sketches to use as a reference for future works. This piece is more complex than some of my other more simplistic works, however, I thoroughly enjoy creating anything with this fabulous, oddly defined creature. This piece sits beautifully with other works on this page. You may prefer a single work or two complimentary pieces to fill your space. You can also utilise Bluethumb’s framing service. Enjoy.

This is painting is about the Wattle Tree Dreaming .
It tells the story of the wattle tree and how one little tree, hardly noticed until it blooms, gives so much to Indigenous people. There is a story from the Dreamtime about a young boy who lived among the stars and wanted to be a great warrior like his father. Whenever his father was not looking, he would play with his father's weapons, knowing that he shouldn't. One day while he was practising how to hold a Boomerang, a 'Cockatoo Man' appeared in a tree. The boy got such a fright, he through the Boomerang and knocked some of the yellow feathers off the 'Cockatoo Man'. The Cockatoo got such a fright he gave off a loud screech and flew away. The feathers turned into flowers on the tree we call Gagagil (the wattle tree). In my painting, the yellow represents the wattle flowers and the Ochre represents the Earth, with white for the Cockatoo and black, the wattle seeds. .
