I used 'Sunday Drives' to seek out wonderful gardens, and this was one of my favourites, not so much the garden but this feature of an old wheelbarrow, and there it stood, bathed in glorious sunlight. Beautiful rich orange/red geraniums and dainty mini daisies.
Having fun combining many things in art that I love so very much. My collection of vintage papers (handwritten ledger paper - 1890s), adhered to a canvas as a paint surface for my acrylic paints - then painting on this. I choose to paint what I love. The paint is both, opaque, and transparent, so that the edges and handwriting underneath appears and disappears - melding into one.
I did a series of these. So would make for a wonderful collection to display together. There is ALWAYS a space for small format art (SFA)! Add interest to your walls. I couldn't resist the cheeky gecko inclusion in trying to show what this artwork might look like on your walls.
The whole artwork is intended to have slight flaws - less than perfect, but it is not truly flawed. I like to think that it makes artworks more interesting.
It has been sprayed with a protective coating, which keeps the paper natural-looking, but the acrylics have a semi-gloss, almost giving a 3D effect. Signed on SIDE and on rear. Ready-to-hang (wire), can be framed if desired. 6" square, 1.5" depth.
